Perched at 2900 m above sea level, the Glacier Park is a spot where riders find the first perfectly shaped kickers of the season – even before winter arrives. 250 m long and 100 m wide, the freestyle season gets off to a perfect start with 20 obstacles and 4 lines. The quarter pipe at the end of the park is open for business once again, with big air at the top of everybody’s agenda!

As of December, the whole set-up moves further down to the Sonnenkar lift, where a great location will be tweaked to perfection. The Easy Park next to the lifts is an outstanding warm-up, with 15 obstacles and 7 rails on 2 lines. And for even more fun times this year, the Easy Line is now longer than ever.

Pro riders, new-school rock stars and artists of the boards will find their own perfect playground in Central Park. Things get started right next to the chillin’ Volvo XC ICE CAMP: 20 obstacles with 13 rails on 3 lines (450 m long, 80 m wide) are every freestyler’s dream-come-true – highlights include the pro kicker with an 18-meter table, an awesome A-box and an 18-meter fun box.

The half pipe next to the Easy Park also gives you the rollercoaster ride of your life. If Old Man Winter cooperates this season, we’re going all out for a 150 m super pipe and walls that are at least 5.5 meters high. There’s also the 250 m Easycross Line with four banked curves and five waves.

As the sun begins to dip below the horizon during Winter 2009/10, riders gather in the Rail Garden on the Lechnerberg in the center of Kaprun. 18 obstacles, including 12 rails on 2 lines, give rookies the opportunity to let it all hang out, while freeskiers will simply dance across the rails by twilight.

New this year: Freeride XXL! Three new routes in the area of the Kristallbahn lift and Langwied reveal some of the Kitzsteinhorn’s most beautiful deep-snow secrets. The Freeride Info Base at the Alpincenter gives deep-snow surfers all the info they need for a safe ride through open terrain: avalanche transceiver checkpoint, route panoramas, avalanche conditions, weather reports and much more.
